Kubus XLe: the garage locks when the vehicle locks

With Kubus XLe, STS brings rear garage security into the vehicle's central locking system – with two M1 rotary latches, no key and no cylinder.

Rear garages hold bikes, e-bikes, tools and outdoor equipment – often the most valuable cargo on board. At the same time, they are among the largest openings in the vehicle body. Kubus XLe was developed for exactly this situation.

System integration instead of a standalone solution

Kubus XLe is an electromechanical exterior locking system with electric actuation of the M1 satellites. It connects directly to the central locking system of the motorhome: two M1 rotary latch locks secure the large garage door in sync – automatically, whenever the vehicle is locked or unlocked.

No key. No cylinder. No compromises.

Why leave out the cylinder?

The robust latches made of die-cut metal components deliver a very high security standard and long-lasting performance under heavy loads. Deliberately omitting cylinders and mechanical keys reduces component variety and complexity – and eliminates classic points of attack.

Compact integration

Thanks to its low installation height on the inside of the hatch, the storage space remains fully usable. The cable connection lets manufacturers position the system flexibly in different installation concepts – and Kubus XLe is ready for OEM series production.
