STS USA LLC is the North American company of STS Oberholz – a family business that has specialized in locking systems for motorhomes and caravans for 30 years.
Shorter distances to our customers
STS USA LLC was established in the State of Alabama in October 2026. It brings together the STS activities for the North American RV market and moves the development and manufacturing expertise of STS Oberholz closer to the manufacturers on the ground.
Our focus: supporting North American OEMs from the first concept to series production – with technical advice, samples, series supply and spare parts.

Owner-managed, from Velbert to North America
STS USA LLC is owned by Maximilian Glatz. He also leads Glatz-Gruppe, the owner-managed family holding to which STS Oberholz belongs.
That keeps the path between our North American customers, the engineers in Velbert and the owner short. Decisions are made with a view to decades, not quarters – and without the short-term interests of outside investors.
A family business on the move
STS Oberholz is based in Velbert, Germany, where the Ruhr area meets the Rhineland – about 20 km from Düsseldorf. For 30 years the company has worked as an original equipment manufacturer for the caravan and motorhome industry and has become one of the most important suppliers of security and locking systems for motorhomes and caravans.
Our steady growth and high customer satisfaction are also the achievement of dedicated employees who have supported the company for many years. Customers value our detailed knowledge of their products, quantities and backgrounds, a keen eye for development trends in caravanning, and excellent service. Our showroom in Velbert presents the full range – and welcomes visitors from all over the world.
